Teaching

I prefer to teach skills. By that I mean, I teach a method that can be translated to your own tastes and experiences, not a set pattern or kit. I offer several workshops that would fit a weekend retreat format, or could be tailored to suit your needs. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and I’m open to travelling to teach. I still have some openings for private students who live locally. And in this new year, I hope to become part of the Quilt Ed Online faculty so I can reach people from further afield. (How exciting.)

My prices are for tuition only. I also require transportation, meals and accommodations. I’m happy to send a copy of my contract upon request. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.

Making FTom thumbaces

This two day workshop takes participants through my process for making realistic fabric portraits from photographs. No drawing skills are needed, and the simplest sewing machine is required (zig zag).  This course relies heavily on the use of paper backed fusible adhesive, I prefer Steam a Seam 2 Lite. I can take up to fifteen participants in each workshop. This class requires access to electricity for irons.         $800

I can take up to fifteen participants in each workshop. This class requires access to water and electricity.          $850 (includes most materials)
